The woman’s daughter, who also lives in the residence, called 911. Officers said they discovered Perez nude and on top of the woman in a bedroom that had blood on the “walls, floor, ceiling and bed.”Perez was found naked and passed out on top of the victim, according to police.
The prosecution said that Perez admitted to police that he beat and raped the victim “because he was angry at women after a night of drinking.”
The victim’s cheekbones, nose and several teeth were broken in the ordeal. She remains hospitalized at this time in serious condition.
Perez, who speaks only Spanish, is employed as a roofer.
